I would look at a state college in the state you are in. Most have online courses and you end up paying state tuition.
It also depends on the degree.
Take a look at a some from East Carolina University Distance Degrees:

Here are their fees PER COURSE for online education:
Here's NC State:
2009-2010 Tuition and Fees Per Credit Hour
Program Residents of NC (Tuition, Fees) Non-Residents
of NC (Tuition, Fees)
Distance Education Courses and Programs: $216 $19 $432 $19
Engineering Online (EOL): $216 $24 $676 $24
Wood and Paper Science (WPS): $216 $19 $432 $19
Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP): $134 $13 $268 $13
Here is the
University of North Carolina, all 16 major state universities:

Nearly all the courses/curriculums slated as distance eduction degrees have a very reasonable rate.
I have been looking at similar programs in Univ. Alabama and Cincy.
For instance, one class I completed cost me $225 total and I saw some of these "online colleges" charging over $2K for the same course.
