Ok i checked a certain word and it came up over 1,000 searches in July now the August search there is 0 searches. I seriously doubt not one person searched for it in august.

I noticed the bug as well. I own moviereview.ca and the term "movie review" always has 100k plus results month after month. Overture shows none for august which to me seems obviously incorrect..

Since I own shoptools.ca I checked the term "tools". Overture shows no results for tools as well.

The secret is checking Google's searches per day through their AdWords program. Google gives searches per day in blocks of 250 (under 250 a day shows up as 0).

OC shuts up before he gives away the store.

From the forum:
Go to Google and type in the words with double quotes, for example "car audio" and check the results, and then "car audios" and check these. This will give a good indication of the popularity of each phrase.

Then go to Google's old Adwords site:
https://adwords.google.com/AdWords/Welcome.html
- click on 'create and preview ads'
- then next page click 'continue'
- in the exact phrase match box, type for example, car audio on one line, and car audios on the next line, and the results will show how often the term is searched for on Google each day/week/month.

From this analysis you should be able to work out whether you want to reg that name that ends in audios.
