Ovt the only measure of potential traffic?

I have a few domains I am considering registering, and I also think of new ones often. They could be straight type ins or typos.

Anyway, I was wondering if overture with extension is the only measure of potential traffic to an unregistered domain?

For instance I have registered a few that get maybe 20 visitors a day each and have no overture at all. I was wondering if there is another tool that I can use before I take the risk on these other domains.

Suggestion Tool numbers that OV reports are 25 or greater. So you could have a name with say 24 returns or less but no results from OV and it will get some type-in traffic.

If a domain has no overture (say it was actually 0, and not just under 25) - would you say it could still get traffic, and a decent amount of it?

yes, there is also Link Popularity, which can provide lots of traffic...

I have had a few names with 0 ovt that got lots of traffic from links

Overture is the best guess to type in traffic (imo).
