Do any of you have a sucessful photo rating site?

I am trying to get a new site off the ground, and I want to know how you managed it? Also can you sell me text links or button links? Can you send visitors to my site? I have a limited budget, but I can buy links / buttons if it's a good deal, plus I have several PR3 & PR4 sites I could link exchange on...

Basically I am looking for any tips, links, or services to help get my "hot or not" style site off the ground.

I have uglypeople.com which gets about 30k unique visitors per day.

I also have ratemythong.com which gets about 10k unique visitors per day.

You can exchange links with both sites and you will start receiving traffic immediately as long as you are sending some traffic my way also.

Thanks, I have joined the 'referrer exchange' on both your sites, and added the links to my site. Hopefully that will get some visitors flowing back and forth. I would also be interested in the price of text links on either of your sites?

Yes, I saw your other post. I wasn't actually planning on charging for membership anyway, (seeing as it's members that provide the content), so giving away free membership won't help. I do like the look of the script you are using though. Can I ask where you bought it, or if you can sell a copy of it?

My review:
Photo rating sites are very very profitable but again it all depends on advertising. Once it gets off the ground and famous , then you will be a millionaire soon. You can sell text links, sponsered photos like the photo of that person at the top , new features like a site like shaadi.com where a girl/boy can find their loved ones who they will marry with. Kind of a fun site but a very profitable site. For income you can check out from casalemedia, that pays really well for this stuff.
