Here is a great site I put together 6 years ago: PHPSelect(dot)com
It is a PR4 site that receives 700+ daily visitors and nearly 5,000 daily page views. See the analog server log stats from April 13, 2009 here:

It now makes a bit of money in software sales...but nothing to get too excited about. I am selling because I just don't have the time to go back into the OSCommerce software and install Adsense to take advantage of all the page views or add new PHP Software to update the inventory. With a minimal amount of money and effort, you can have a cash cow here.
