Hi, I would like to know where is the best cancer clicnic in the world.

I've heard the best clinic in the world is in NewYork but I don't remember the name.
If you want I can search (It's the same clinic where Pavarotti goes for cancer).

In Italy is in Milan at San Raffaele my parent go two times there and they are very professional.

It depends what sort of cancer, no one clinic holds the reputation for all as I a sure you will appreciate. If you could indicate what type of cancer that may help a lot in getting recommendations.

I fully agree - my wife was in the medical profession (as well as most of her family). If we know what kind of cancer then we might be able to point you to a good place for that specific cancer.

Sloan-Kettering (sp?) in New York for lung cancer.

There's really no hip / leg cancer but there can be cancers that reside in those areas. Hip / leg problems (unless it's something like skin cancer) is usually limited to artery / blood issues and arthritis. (not including genetic disorders like coxovara, dysplasia etc...).

I'm doing pretty good, thanks. Cancer can be beaten, so I hope they caught it early.

All of that would be huge factors in what to do next or where to go from here.

I noticed you and George K. talking about the same issue. I would certainly look for his input.

John Hopkins would also be a good choice. Not only are they a hospital, they are a teaching institution. They are on the cutting edge of advances and technology and are well endowed with funding from alumni and grants.

Try not to restrict your choice to just NY. There is DC and Georgetown, NC and Duke or UNC. All well funded, all major medical centers and teaching institutions on the east coast, and all well respected and seemingly come up in the top 10 for everything.

There is holistic approaches and so many factors to consider.

Again, I am terrible sorry for this for anyone. That is a big reason I got away from working with children. Just could not bear to see bad things happen to children. Still can't.

It does depend on the type of cancer, and also upon how far along your cancer has progressed. Personally, I highly recommend Dr. Lee Thompson of the Cancer Surgery of Mobile clinic. I was given three months to live until Dr. Thompson and Dr. Russell worked on me. I had colon cancer, stage 3. That was 14 months ago. Now, I am cancer free and feeling like a million bucks (if only I had a million bucks). -- Roy
