I believe Snap has lost another one. WoW! That makes 9 registrars. It almost doesn't even make sense to do research ahead of time now because everything is decided last minute with auction systems.

Are you just figuring this out now? J/J

Yeah I haven't bought a snap in a few weeks although they did do pretty well a couple of days ago.

THey just don't make it financially worth it for the registrars. According to the president of one of the registrars who is with pool snap doesnt pay for like 3 months.

I imagine pools plan is far more lucrative.

People should consider that even the smartest marketing decision might be politically incorrect and cause to your business serious problems.

Once all the registrars will have said bye bye to Snapnames and jumped on Pool wagon, how difficult you think will be for Verisign to paint all them as group of sharks dominating the drop industry and making outrageous profits on a product they get at $6 a piece on the regulated market?

and who do you think will be the hero who will save the consumers?

Thanks,

Well, for the longest time this was snapnames selling the chance to grab a name at 11+ times their cost.
SO what is fair for 1 company (snapnames) is certainly fair for all whether you,I or Verisign like it.

If verisign did what you say then they would be hypocrites and their scam would be completely transparent. To support snapnames and then completely change their tune when someone else does it with more effectively.

Anyone else think they should change the number of snap back exchanges for the $39 +/- snaps to 12? I mean lets be realistic here.

Very good point Attilio. There will certainly be a backlash to the drastic changes that will continue to occur in the drop game over the next few months. Although public relations has never been a strong suit for Verisign, so we will just have to see how it plays out.

I just noticed. Looking at my primary Pool acct. and the successful backorder list. 90% were caught by NameScout.

Why, if they have 9 individual registrars?
