This came up in an earlier thread this week and many seemed to think it was wrong, even sugesting it was fraud. I found this strange, as why would pool stop affiliates from receiving commission on any backorders ordered through their links, even their own. You can bet that BD et al are ordering their BO's via their own Alinks. Any way I figured the best way to find out would be to ask Pool directly, so I did.

Hi, can you tell me your policy on ordering backorders for personal use, via your own affiliate banner? In otherwords, is it considered a violation if I order a backorder for myself using my own affiliate code, thus earning commission in my name on a successful backorder in my name.
Thanks

Hello;
It is absolutely not a violation of our Agreement with you if you choose to backorder through your own Affiliate link, in fact it is quite sensible to do so. Feel free to do so at any time.
