For Sale Pool says .com and .net will not be dropping today (10/1/04)

Did you guys see this on Pool's website:

NOTE: All .COM and .NET domains scheduled to delete on Friday, October 1st, 2004 will now be deleted on Saturday, October 2nd, 2004.

This is the first that I have heard of this. Can anyone confirm?

Yep no .com or .net show to be dropping today. Same thing happened twice a few months ago.

Whenever Verisign has maintenance that spans the pending delete job, there is no drop 5 days hence. Saturday will have twice the number.
