I've recently tried quite a few biz and us names at pool and have found the success on these extensions has been awful, at least in the last 30 days. At one time I listed about 60 biz names, and got maybe 3 and had another 3 or 4 go to auction. In looking at who got them, it was mostly a couple big timers with godaddy/Wildwest surprisingly having a fair number of the re-registrations they didn't get. I saw very few grabbed by namewinner either.

Anyone else notice this lately? Has godaddy been working better on these extensions?

Yup i noticed that too abt pool.

guess what? Godaddy has been catching a few as well. Have got 3 continous catches. I agree that the names may not be high profile, but still it is surprising.

Pool is pretty much a waste of time on any of the alternative extensions. My theory is that they have been so busy cranking out ICANN approved registrars, and using their connections for com and net that a lot of those registrars didn't bother getting approved for those extensions. Also, from what I've seen they only had two registrars attempting to catch biz or us and that was encirca and namescout. Besides, the systems used are different between com and biz or us.

Hi,

A few days back Pool had some of their drop dates listed wrong for some domains.

I had five in my backorder section that were all to drop on about the 14th of June and when drop day came around all the drop dates listed had change to wild dates (ex. 03/04 07/04 etc)... all different.

The domains dropped on the correct day and Pool did not get one.

Must of had/have a glich in their system.
