Improvements to our Auction Process

Now when a bid is placed that changes the Auction’s Price during the last 5 minutes, the Closing Time will be increased by 5 minutes from the time the last bid was placed. The Auction Close Time will continue to be extended by 5-minute increments from the time of the last bid. When the Auction has extended an extra 15 minutes, if a bid is placed within 2 minutes of the Closing Time the Auction will extend by 2 minutes from the time the bid was placed.

Of course, our existing Proxy bidding system is still in effect, so you can place your maximum bid early, and the system will bid on your behalf up to that point.

We encourage you to try our "Bid on Multiple Domains" feature, accessible from every Auctions page. This feature provides one convenient location to place bids on all your open auctions. You may also choose to only view auctions closing today by clicking the link "Show Only Auctions Closing Today" on the "Bid on Multiple Domains" page. This will further enhance response times.

Note: Placing two or more consecutive bids will not change the Close Time unless the Current Leader has been changed.

Yeah, I was looking at that notice when checking my auctions today, wm. What does it mean? That the 15min extension is actually a 2min extension? That you can forget about sniping because you should be putting a proxy of $200,000 for every bid instead?

I think Pool should really get a serious copywriter for such things. Unless of course, the objective is to confuse the hell out of everyone in hope of securing more money.

What is translates to is don't bid at Pool unless you want to spend a lot of money!

It means bid your max NOW. :-D
