PrivateTime.com

Though not product or service related, I think it's a generic but also brandable domain, good for the entertainment industry, maybe better for the adult industry:lol:. What are your opinions?

'Private' is the camgirls term for nude chat usually $3/min.

I think a video conferencing site for professionals / therapists / counselors / contractors / user support would be apt for this domain.

You could use a standard camgirls script and change the categories from Blonde, BBW etc. to Psychologists, Lawyers, etc.

Nice $269 pay per min video conferencing script at http://demo.camscripts.com/index_ie.php

Something like

PRIVATE TIME
Video Conference 1to1 With Professional Consultants

Nice name to hang onto for the right buyer. I can see this going mid XXXX or more for a cam project. I think adult niche is probably the best venue for this one.

It is a good name. It isn't one that you will want to sell on the forums, as it is not a tradeable type of name, but it is definitely the type of name you don't want to give a way too cheap. I bet there are a number of similarly named websites out there, so that might be your target market. It has a few different ways it can go. One way is the way you mentioned (entertainment), but the first thing I thought about was something kids related. Maybe I was thinking of the phrase Time Out, but Private Time seems to fit into something along those lines, like a parenting website. It could even be part of some type of couples counseling site, or even a dating site. I am sure there a plenty more ways it can be used.

It is a strong name, but not really one that is easy to value. Definitely a keeper. You could get a nice sale at some point.

id go with the dating site
variation on speed dating
have a group chat then the
couples that match go private time!

Wow, thank you very much for all of your great advices and ideas.

The first thing I thought about was also the adult cam business. However, I don't have the ability to start up and manage such a site at the moment. Maybe a Co-Brand/whitelable site from the famous brands will be a workable plan, don't know if such sites work well...

So, basically cam and chat should be the way to go. Yeah, I'll keep it, waiting for a good offer, partnership or develop it myself in the future.

Remember, you don't have to do anything with it if you don't want to spend the time doing it. There are many people who make the wrong assumption that they must put in countless hours into every name they have that has value. The truth is that a strong name should rise in value over time. It can go in the vault, and just because you aren't making money on it does not mean you are wasting it, especially with a name like this that will likely only be monetized by putting in a lot of work.

Sometimes, it is good enough just to have a nice vacant lot located in a good area. Pay the taxes each year, or have someone mow the lawn once in a while, and wait for a neighbor or local business to buy it. One mistake you can make is to build a site that you really aren't passionate about. You could put in hundreds of hours and not make any money, then one day someone might come along and want the name for a different reason. If you sell it to them you just flushed that time down the toilet.

Parking gets a bad rap, but it is really effiicent, even if the PPC on a particluar name is very low or non-existent. Just like if you owned a vacant lot within a reasonable distance of Yankee Stadium. In that case you could get paid while you wait for the right offer, and you aren't engaging in an effort that will be wasted. On a smaller scale think of something like the Masters Golf tournament. People rent nearby homes for a week. They even rent parking spaces in front of their houses for similar situations. All of that is just gravy. If you own a decent piece of property somewhere it will likely go up in value over time. Domains are a bit different than regular real estate, but they are very similar. It is OK to not develop.

Thanks WhoDatDog, great points!
Yeah, best to develop the domains in which areas we are interested, passionate about, or familar with.

Don't forget moms....a common phrase is them finding "private time". I don't necessarily think it would be better than something adult, but for who your buyer may be it may be someone wanting to reach out to them....or even a resort or something for couples. In fact, the couples angle may be a good way to go.

You'll be swamped with competition in Adult, nothing special about it just a metaphor for private cam chat.

Next best is dating, and it's a unique product, get a speed dating script with video chat and you're set!
