About this domain:
I originally purchased this domain from another speculator about a year-and-a-half ago with the intention of turning it into a website where real-estate speculators from around the U.S. could research tax liens and sign up for expensive $X,000 seminars on making money from tax liens. I could have easily gotten away with a 20% commission.

For those who aren't familiar, when someone doesn't their property taxes, the county can auction off the rights to collect on those taxes at auction (called a tax lien). In Illinois, if the person fails to pay their taxes for an additional two years, and you pay the taxes for them, you get the deed to the property free and clear. Right now, the online section of the tax sale industry is booming. A year ago, one county in the entire U.S. had a well-known internet tax sale. Just last week, I got an email from taxsalelists.com about four counties running auctions at bids4assets.com.

Just to show how big the industry has gotten, the .net, .biz, and .info of this name have all been taken. (The .net by a real website, the .biz and .info by speculators.)

The domain name is at Enom and is good for almost another five months.

Why I'm taking offers on this domain
First of all, I'm a college student who will eventually need money to finish college. I just made another tuition payment a week ago, and it reminded me that while I have assets in domain names totalling maybe a couple thousand dollars (I hope they're worth that much), I'd prefer not to finish college in debt. I'll need to sell off a few extra domains in the next two years and average $4000/summer working in order to do that.

At the same time, while I'd love to develop this domain name, I'm a busy CS major currently taking some of the hardest courses in UIUC's CS department. While I might have time to develop it over the summer, there are other things I can also focus on (like my hosting business.)

Offers I'm accepting
It isn't very often that you see cheap domain names that describe a service other sites offer, and has the .net, .info, and .biz taken (one being a developed website). Consequently, I'm looking for offers of at least three digits ($XXX); I wouldn't be totally suprised to see a four digit offer, either.

I may also be interested in renting the domain to another party for a period of time taking effect up to three months from now (by June), or some sort of other rent-to-own scenario. Since I don't need the money right away, I can be kind of flexible in how I'm paid.

Please make offers via email to: [email protected] (preferred), or PM them to me.

Thanks.
