It sold for that much because it got 300-500 type-ins per day and made alot of PPC money daily...I put up the site for the seller before it was sold...your domain only has value if it has traffic or is developed. I was offered prosports.net for just 1500 several times...the .com is really the only one with the glow.

-and it WAS more than 50k..

I don't see much value in this domain. Are sports referred to as "Pro Sports" in italy?

Agreed. The .com sold for so much because..it is the .com.

How do you even get an .it name - Don't you have to be a verified resident of Italy to be able to register one?

I am a bit confused here. When I follow the sedo link, prosports.it is still available for sale with seller's expectation of £ 4,999. Can someone confirm that it really sold for $50,000 given that the stats show negligible traffic on sedo.

Italian Dragon are you the one who sold this domain name?

Hi, in Italy there is a constant grow in the use of English terms and for examples we had on television, NOLIMITS as show related to NO LIMITS Sports.

The term ProSports is used in the Italian Sport community.

Thanks

Hi, I`m the owner of ProSports.it and yes I put it for sale on Sedo UK for that amount.

I was not the owner and I did not sell the .com version which went for 75K early this year.

Cheers

Then someone could give me an explanation why every premium English word has ben registered in Italy...............and not only in Italy.

People reg English words in Countries where English is not even spoken but yet some sales are achieved like casino.hk which went for 15k despite casino is an English word.

Thank you very much to all for your appreciated opinions.
Cheers,
Lorenzo
