I am new. This is my first posting! (I read the post all the time before I joined so I try to learn alot before I spend money. Someone say that is good.)

I have question. Can someone please tell me what the, (I think the right term is 'grace period') time is for these companies below before they let a name that has passed the Expiration date to be released so anyone can register it?

The fastest to drop is Star Gate - too fast, but I think they are or have extended there grace period to 30 days.
The rest vary from 20 to 40.

Register.com - they keep some of their clinet's expired domains.

If it's a great domain you are following - then use SnapNames if it's just "good" then ExpireFish - others just keep on watching and learning

Dotster domain names are released 31-33 days after the expiration date. This is when they become available to register.

Record the domain name's expiration date now, because once Dotster puts the domain name on hold, they will often remove much of the whois info for the domain name.
