Yea, I would have to say that it is best to get a .mobi where the major tlds are taken. So I could buy radiotelephone.mobi and make a http://mobile.radiotelephone.com for mobile and I would get more access than you.
As for the math part...I suck at math too. But this isnt really mathmatics at the moment. Its more predicting the future. look harder, me lad, look harder. Dont give up, keep searching.
As for the price, currently, the same price you bought it for. $reg fee. Dont delete it, just hold on to it for a while. Keep searching. There are some gems out there as I just regged www.watashi.mobi (meaning "me" in Japanese). But as you can see, .us is still available, but .com, .net, .jp, .co.jp, co.uk, .net, .org, are all gone. as for .tv, its a premium name worth $10,000.
