Why can't I rate a thread - I choose a rating and press the button and it says that I've rated the thread, but no rating shows up.

Sometimes I think, if I was the administrator of this site, I would get pretty sick of unimportant, whingeing posts like this one. Nobody is ever satisfied, are they? Rating a thread......who cares anyway? It makes me mad.

I just "rated" this thread at Five stars (*****), worked fine, on my end! Boy, you're really in a fuss today, Tigg ... LOL.
Sunday auction is almost here!! :D
See you.

Wow, it really worked! Thanks CoolHost - you made my night!

Thumbs up, Tigg!! :D
Have a great night ... and see you on Sunday.

I rated it one star .. because you should have known it works

Ouch - that hurts. Oh well, at least my thread is the highest rating at the moment :D

I think the stars show up after the second vote :-)

I think you're right - your vote didn't show up until I had voted and when I voted on threads by myself that's why it didn't work.

As per the doobies thread, I think that it should only take one person to give a thread a star rating instead of two. I've been busy rating threads and none of them show up because I am the only one doing it. Then if one person rates a thread, others are more likely to rate it too.

I think rating threads is cool. Most of the threads on DNF move so fast that a rating system is hardly ever used. Thank God!

I would encourage users to take the time to rate General Domains Discussion, and Related Discussions, but not the Advertising Forums.

JMHO
Cheers!
