Where does one get raw drop lists? I.e.) Like DropLists.com where do they get these lists from?

Like a pending delete report in raw format:

4STARART.COM:2005.06.19.00.00.00

Then I can go in and parse the information.

How does one identify the dropped domains in these files - some, at around 600MB zipped, are not easy to search.

What identifies a domain name / ip as dropped ?

speedwell: The zone files don't list expiration dates. They just give you a pool of names from which to poll WHOIS servers to then find expiration dates.

"DropLists.net is currently open (and free of charge) to DNForum.com members only. If you wish to view daily updated expired, expiring, hold and RGP domain name lists please signup at DNForum.com. :

What a strange site -- it says it's free to members of DNForum, yet I've been a member here for years and have never seen anything about it and have never received an ID password to it. The link points to the DNForum home page, which of course is useless for getting an ID and password.

Well, I guess you never visit the "Expiring Domains" section of DNF because if you did you'd see a "DropLists.net" subforum at the VERY top. It's been there for about a year. Before that it was on the main DNF page.
