Hi folks,

I received an inquiry from an individual (gives name, phone, address) asking about Star.info that asks whether I am willing to sell and what the price would be. I have a prototype going at http://www.Star.nstemp.info, but have not been able to switch name servers yet to make it live at final location. I am not sure about selling it. In the Directi LandRush2 auction, final bid for Star.info was $1,510. Your advice/appraisal?

Sincerely, DomeBase

Star.info is a very good domain name. You could probably get between $1000 - $2000k for it right now. However I bet the "skies" the limit in a year or two. From an investment standpoint "dot info" has some room to move up. I would sell it then, not right now. You probably had to reg the name for two years (at a minimum) so I wouldn't be in a hurry to sell this name.

Good Luck!

This is an excellent name, and you shouldn't sell it for less than $5k.

I agree. If you don't get a substantial offer (more than 5k) than I would hold on to it. It can only increase in value over time.

Good luck!

Izopod, DnPowerful, and Kvinsencius, I really appreciate your advice and plan to follow it. I think I will keep it and develop it some more. Right now I am going with the astronomy application rather than the entertainment application.. for a couple reasons.

Izopod, I have to ask. Was that pun intentional? :swg:

yup..:D

Would not let it go for less then $2,500.

$20,000 at least, Bob. Star.info is a stellar name. Horoscopes will be a killer app for this name.
