Pres, how did you learn so quickly who the new registrant is??

i usually go to uk2.net, and check to see if the domain is available. If its taken, i just click on details.

Said it was updated on the 16th (the day i posted that)

I continue to get lots of messages from people complaining about "Visitors" leaching the list. Guys I understand your frustration - and I will talk to Greg about the suggestion to make a "Members Only" section for this purpose.

I also just received a message stating that Feuds.net is gone - but no DNF$ Donation - even though the whois info looks familiar - like a member here. What can I tell you - I don't know everybody's info off the top of my head. You guys can go check it out for yourself and see if you recognize them - and I will be happy to ask them about it.

I would like to add that it seems several of us look at the same lists. I did register some names that I later saw on this post, but it was through my work. So kind of keep that in mind.

But it is a good idea to have a members only for sharing lists such as this. I would keep the for sale free though.

Whats funny is that your posted lists are out of date. I reg about 500+ domains daily regardless if it was posted here or there. Believe me I dont wait for you guys to post list so I can reg. I have a few services that send me lists. Plus these names are available on exody and so on...

Nobody doubts that there are multiple sources for these names.

I do think it would be best for the DNforum if these expired threads could be made private for members only. I know it wouldn't stop all the leeching, but me thinks it would boost membership.

Now, how difficult that would be is one for Gregr or the moderators to answer. I don't think the mods time is appropriately spent chasing down these people though.

I agree.. if you make those lists private it will make the leeches go away. However, most lists that are posted are normally out of date.

Elequa - Hello. :)

I have also pointed out to people (more than once) in our previos threads that there are a million people out there searching names at the same time - and everybody has their own lists etc. - so just because a name happens to be listed here doesn't mean that anybody should assume it was found here.

I think we all know that you of all people - don't need to "Leach" of anybody's list. :D

Thank you Doc!

That's exactly my point too. People keep sending me emails and messages about it - but I can't control it.
