For Sale Register.com Expiring Name Advice

I am tracking a name which has a snap on it and it is registered with register.com and the expiration date is
Oct, 07 2002

I have couple of question about the smae
1) When do register.com drop the names
I thought it was 30 days can anybody confirm the same?

2) The Namewinner lists the expiry date as 23-DEC-05
and the domain is not listed in the NICGenie.com list

Would this domain be dropped?

I see a similar anomaly with a Register.com name I am tracking. The WhoIs says it expired about three weeks ago, but Namewinner (and only Namewinner) shows it expiring in 2006 when you put it in their bid list. What is going on there?!
