Here's why i say that.

i have a domain at register.com which i won at snapnames.

now when the domain gets in the "90 days" before renewal, they start sending out renewal notices and advertisements for the domain.

so, i initiated a transfer from register.com to enom for this domain.
unlocked the domain and all that.
but i never get an "authorization" to transfer this domain.

then i get email from enom, says the transfer fails because " no response" from the registrant.

i go back to register.com, and check the contact info for the name and register.com has THEIR info in my whois for the "technical contact"!

by now it's too late to initate another transfer request, so if i want to keep it......

:(

check yours, if you got some at register.com

The same thing happens to me from enom. I send an email to enom telling them i want my auth code and they never reply. I refuse to renew at enom. all transfer request auth codes are sent to them like they own the domain. I always have to do a song and dance to get my domain transferred. I've lost several not so valuable domains this year as a result. I dont have time to piss around with those creeps. As for register.com, I dont like their services much and had no problem transferring out. They have a phone support office you can call for a live operator.
