I had set up a Flippa auction for these two domains:

Funk.DJ
Retro.DJ

And I was promoting it with a professional-looking email brochure that I specifically crafted for the DJ market. Not a copy-and-paste email, by any means. I researched a lot of leads; but, since I was paying per email, I made sure they were as targeted as possible. Inside the message I sent, I referred to 25,000 domains and websites related to DJs, Funk, and Retro -- which is true, although I certainly did not send out 25,000 emails!

What happened next? Well, some self-righteous or petty domainer out there stabbed me in the back. Rather than replying to the email I sent, he or she went to Flippa, called me a spammer, and got my account banned and the auction cancelled.

Now the brochure that I sent out is full of dead links. And, since I never send a person 2 emails, I can't approach the DJ industry to sell these 2 domain names. Thank you, anonymous colleague!

None of the end users I contacted will know how to find me now. So it looks like I'll be selling these off to domainers.

Anybody interested?
