Hi

This is www.ri.sk, sporting a slovakian
extension (.sk). Names like this are
sometimes referred to as 'hacked'
domains.

Any appraisal would be great.

Many thanks

li.st sold cheaply earlier this year for $5,000!

Although 'risk' does not quite having the value of 'list' you will have little trouble getting low xx,xxx for it. Exact amount is difficult to assess as these 'hacked' domains are only again becoming popular now. I expect these to reach mid xx,xxx to low xxx,xxx within 1-2 years.

A word of caution, many dotcomers disagree with this general analysis.

imo, these domains are only worth something to endusers and not resellers... But wish I could give you a value on it.

Yes, I agree. I think they are too speculative
for a typical reseller to have 'on their books'.

really nice and creative domain, the most difficult part about those domains is to handle offers that come in, I think what happens most of the time with those hacked domains is that the owners have a totally different idea about the value than buyers (not that this wouldnt be the case most of the time anyway), but because this is a purely speculative enduser-domain that people want big payoffs for,..... which is why I think that unrealistic prices probably more than not stand in the way of a deal, ..I think you should (as for all speclative domains) determine beforehand what kind of offer you would accept and stick to it when it happens to come along and not get too greedy at that point.., I would put that pricepoint like someone else suggested in the low to mid X.XXX range..

li.st was brokered by Sedo and the selling price as reported by both Sedo and DNJournal (and personal knowledge) is definately $5,000.

As you can probably tell by my sig, I like these sort of domains. I haven't taken out a loan to pick up a huge amount of them, but I am interested in them and got some ones (avail to reg) that I thought had merit.

Will really depend on whether they pick up or not. Some CC TLD's will have a niche market, some will just be good for anything and others will just end up not going anywhere.

How much did you end up selling QWE.st to Qwest for? Also, if you have any more info on the sale of College.st it would be great to know. You are a great cheerleader for these beautiful names.
