Hi Guys,

First time posting so please go easy!

I registered this domain (typo of snakesonaplane.com) a couple of months ago and noticed that the traffic has jumped from approximately 5 uniques a day to near on 80 a day in the last week. I've never sold a domain before and really have no idea how much it would be worth. Furthermore, would selling it in the 'domains with traffic' section be a good move? I have no idea where the traffic is coming from, only that it's really jumped in the last week.

My dilemma is that I don't 'plan' on buying/selling domains much and am not sure whether I'd recoup the $35 joining fee to post in the exclusive forums.

Any advice/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

if its a typo of a movie that has just came out, its obvious its from people typing in the movie wrong

Typos are only worth what they make, so park it .. and upgrade to sell.. Im sure you'll have some interested members

Here's the thing. The movie isn't even out yet. I'm curious to see if there's a further spike when it is released.... Given the movie's already 'cult status' on the internet, what do you folks think this may be worth?

Whether its out or not, its pretty simple it has to be getting type-ins from people looking for information on the movie. Thats my best guess

See how it converts, then thats where we tell you how much it might be worth.

I have some pretty good experience on this subject. Honestly, the traffic won't last. It's really not developable (typo) so you should have it parked and will probably be able to monetize it for $15-$30. You will get traffic for a couple weeks and then a bit again when the DVD comes out. snakesonaplanethemovie.com would work out similarly.

Movie domains can be a fun genre to make a few bucks from but don't expect to make too much money. My best one got about 12,000 visitors and made $60 over the course of a couple months. They just don't have good click through or revenue per click.

i dont think this name is worth anything. after the movie leaves the theater, even the non typo name prob wont get traffic anymore. i wouldnt buy typos of movies.
