Wanted: Service Script or Flash or What? (DNF$)

Hello,

I am making a site that flips through slides and times them to 2 seconds each.

There could be hundreds of these slides and I want it to time like 2 seconds each exactly. I will start wiht like 1 slide and possibly add slides at a later date.

My friend suggested I use Flash 8.. too bad it doesn't work on my PC and im not about to buy it.

Is there a script or something that could do this? Something besides flash 8?

Also I doubt it would work because I tried Dreamweaver 8 on my PC and it didn't work.
