SedoPro is terrific!

I am sure you are right in some cases. But I am of the understanding that the issue here is who gets what share and how much of it.

The question is would 10% CTR be worth more than a 50% CTR if you were getting a bigger and TRUE share of the advertising revenue?

Parking pages are notorious for being just white noise unless they update often.

Its all such a minefield and I guess it comes down to the individual knowing that if they are happy letting a company like SEDO get rich off of your time and research and outlay on a domain name, or do you spend a little more time doing it yourself.

Really interesting subject this..

yes, there is a lot of variables and lots to do but it is of course worth it if you know what you are doing. i am all for developing personally... lots that can go wrong as well (time wasted if your idea for the site sucks, or your site isn't optimized properly with the ads) but you will learn as you go and master the art of domains and traffic monetization. it is the best approach, for sure...hands on with trial and error it will be real clear what works and what doesn't... very simple.

OK... Don't be overly critical, but here is an example of a website created with my tool. It's not perfect yet, but well on its way.

http://www.ultimate-grills.com

I also can use other site designs, I just wanted to follow lunch.com.

This can quickly be created/opimized for any site/keywords. This uses your google adsense account and ad channels... YOU GET 100% of the revenue..

Will be in Beta soon...

adsense is for sites with content, not parking pages.... you do know you are breaking the rules and will have your account terminated if you continue with this, right?

Then Google is breaking THEIR OWN RULES... they have a program just like this but for those with over 500K pageviews per month. That is who is the provider for lunch.com. If they have a problem with it, I'll switch PPC providers.

Steve

I also could easily add some content...

Steve

http://www.google.com/domainpark/ ...sorrry now its 750K pageviews per month. See their example of what their pages look like...

I also could just add some content, its very easy to change what the sites look like, the tool is very flexiable...

Steve

Google adsense for domains is a different thing all together, different TOS.

Adding relative content will be a great idea. :-)

You may be right about the huge chunk of money being taken by domain parking companies. But, for me, SedoPro works very well, and more important, better than any other parking programm.

If you will develop a site, your revenue will rose for sure. But I don't have time nor the aptitudes to do so. I will better spend my time on research for new domains, than develop the one that I already have.

This is a very personal option, so no one should say that an another options is better.

We can only state our experience, and it is a fact that my domains that are developed do better than they did with SEDO or any other parking program for that matter.

What other parking programs have you tried recently?

I agree, whats good for one, may not be so good for another, I belive that's why we are all here....to get others experience and points of view....

I thought my parking system was great, but because of this thread, I probably will add content to each page to stay clear of the goog tos (even if Goog is wrong)..

Thanks everyone for their comments/experience, its what makes this forum great!

steve, you are the one who screwed up. read the terms of service once in a while or ask around if you don't know what you are talking about or getting yourself into. you broke just about all of the terms of service... i can't even believe you are implying that google is doing something wrong. that is one of the funniest things i've read here on the board in a really really long time.

just so you know, google "domain park" is for domain owners who want to park their domains...nothing more. google adsense is for webmasters/publishers who want to put up contextual ads on their web sites, which of course must have content. if you don't have content, you don't get any play. but i am sure you already knew this

Mike,

no need to be rude...

The fact remains, when google sells their advertising, there is no differentation between google domain park websites, SEDO parking and Adsense websites, or any OTHER parking program they are ALL content sites. The reason I said I belive they are "wrong" is based on that fact.

If you actually READ the thread, I also said that I will add content (It's not that hard to do) while I am in discussions with Google - I'm just trying to "do something" about giving up so much of the revenue I am earning to SEDO.

But if you love giving 2/3 of your income to SEDO, I guess you are the smarter one... Good Luck.

Steve

The actual percentage of the Cost Per Click revenue to the domainer is 14% - 19%

SEDO, I would imagine is getting upto 62% share from google, then SEDO has a sliding scale dependant on the CPC. 15c or lower the share you get is about 30% of SEDO's 62%

The higher the Cost Per Click the lower percentage you get. Sedo also have a cap on the CPC.

If there was a $50 click, you would get max $3 :-P
