I'm surprised by how many people never look past the number of hits on a site. I use the traffic sources, the search terms and the most frequently hit pages to help tweak my future content. I've been very surprised to see a large number of hits coming from sites I didn't know about. That's the perfect opportunity to reach out and make a connection. And look at what people are searching for. Give it to them! There's a gold mine of information there if you just look beyond the numbers
