Hi,
there is the newly formed Republic of Serbia, which is very ugly as a domain!
there is also the Serb Republic which is a city/region in the Bosnian region.
My hopes are pinned on the 2 domains i've regged as not only do they bring up stacks on google & already exist as terms & places.
I think there is the added bonus that Republic of Serbia could be commonly known in time as Serb Republic or Serbian Republic...a bit like Czech Republic!
Of course 'Serbia' will always be the top search term.
I have provided a few links, if you have a bit of time would appreciate an appraisal & you're thoughts.
I think development could be good as the former Yugoslavia & surrounding regions are truly beautiful & were once very prosperous tourist destinations.
Amazingly all extensions are sitting there!

Good names. But until this place becomes a popular destination they won't be great names in terms of revenue. "Serb Repulic" was searched only 26 times on Yahoo! in Sept.

At this point I'd consider them specialty names with limited reach. Since there seems to be very little to none keyword competition (judging from lack of ads on Google) you should be able to get #1 position with very little effort.

Just my opinion. Good grabs nonetheless. I hope you can prove me wrong.

Thankyou for your appraisal. I agree with what you say.
I need to wait anyhow. I think it was only september this year it got it's new title! Plus it will need years to become a tourist desination again.
I may get a cheap site knocked up just to get a strong foothold in the rankings like you say for in future years.
