closed Serology.us - a major medical science

OK - I have no experience with a name like this. Serology is a well known medical science (the study of serums especially blood, usually for genetic information). This discipline is used often in forensic science so you may have heard them talk about it on TV shows like CSI (Crime Scene Investigation).

It is taken in all other major extensions. Serology gets about 1,000 searches in OT and there are 88,000 page references on Google, many to commercial laboratories that do blood testing. Looked to me like Serology.us should have good potential.

Major ones are Pathology, Cytology , Hematology but Serology is never a seperate Dept in any Medical College or Hospital to the best of my knowledge. Thanks.

Serum is the clear liquid part of the blood that remains after blood cells and clotting proteins have been removed. This used to be done via centrifuge (still is?).
Since antigens are found in serum among a slue of other thingies, I would expect immunology to be highly concerned with serum.
Thus I 'd marry the two IMMUNOLOGY/SEROLOGY if I had to pick a match.

Serology.us is worth more than reg IMO.
Even serologic.com is taken - hear that wagon jumpers?.. only serologic.com is taken (used as in serologic testing and serologic mapping in many fields incl. oncology)

I took it because I think the actual name of any large medical science discipline should be worthwhile, especially when there are many commercial enterprises built around the field. Just try finding any of these available in any major extension. Serology is the only one I have been able to uncover.

I'm afraid it's very obscure. It's a long term keeper - see how .us pans out, but even if .us goes well I can't see this one going for much. Thumbs down Duke, sorry.
