my shipment.us gets 2,2mio yahoo hits.

I believe "shipping.us" would be more valuable - but still: isn´t this a nice site for a company that apply to words such as : transport, delivery, postservices etc ?

Since I am german I am not sure what you guys will associate with the word. Let me know. Tell me what you think it´s worth (my guess now: 2k, in 2-5 years 15K)

Anyhow: I would like to know what you americans associate with the name. Here in Germany it would be "Sendung" -meaning "shipment". What would be the no1 name for postal deliverance ? Shipping ? Sending ? Freight ?

Shipping would be preferred as it covers the entire freight industry. Shipment is also a nice name - one that I also think will grow in value. It sounds like it would be referring more to a single shipment than shipping in general though. Obviously a great name for tracking shipments but the major shippers already have this function built into their sites. I'm sure a solid business application can be developed for this name though.

Rentals is what you would want. Don't know who has it. I would just check the WhoIs and inquire in the owner is interested in selling it.

But still: shipment could be a site that covers all about Shipments, shipping etc. . even though it´s only second pick after shipping.us .. Well , let´s see.

Another thing: what does rents.us mean to you ? Ok for rentals ?

It could be for sure - its not bad.

Rents is the third person verb form (he rents she rents it rents) or the plural of rent.

Rentals would be great.

The best use of this name imo would be as a rental agency/ realestate/brokerage but using the word in a vanity way because rents doent make sense with out some modifier. Unless you were doing a site about different rent amounts.

But still a nice name and imo could be used.

It's good to be optimistic, it's also wise to be realistic ... to me, "Shipping" makes a heck of a lot more sense, and "Shipping.com" would be the ideal. "Shipments" would also be more valuable, as well IMO.
Then, you ARE talking about an unproven (in re-sale) ".US", as well. In the absence of any development, at this time, it is my opinion that your guessing is overly optimistic ... but I wish you well!
