As a 5 letter.com I would say that it is as good as lunch.com ($100k July 05).

As a surname it is nowhere near as good as king.com ($155,000 Nov 05).

As a single word .com I think it's nearly as good as join.com ($40,000 Sept 05) and fold.com ($24,225 Jan 06)

Therefore I am guessing!!: $40k to $100k.

How many visits per day?

Well short is not a color, it is an adjective though so I give it some credit. A short dot com is a good thing, but the main industry that I coud see an end user in would be either midgets or movie "shorts" - IMO $30K-$50K

I'd be curious about how you guys feel short.com compares to the sales of:

Blue.com $500,000 Mar 06
Brown.com $300,000 Feb 06

It's hard to compare these, while short.com could go for six figures easily to right end user, it might not have the right market to be sold for that price at this time. There are many, many, awesome single word .com domains that are perfect but not all of them are getting the same prices as those two mentioned above. A sale in here, I'd say the domain sells for $30k and a sale to the right end user really is only limited by the end user but six figures is not impossible with allot of patience and some persistence to get a deal done who knows. Cheers,

Acro

That was my first thought, as in shorting the market or stock. We see but will others? :-) Cheers,

I would forget blue.com. It´s way out in front.

I would have thought that Brown is a more common surname than Short and more brandable.

However I would class short.com as ´Great´. $40 to $100k.

Could also be developed into a domain forum that offers short domain names.
If you do decide to sell please let us know!

Good Luck

Short.com should be bought by a well-healed independent film festival. Heck, one of the cable networks could buy it and start a TV channel after it.

With the video world heating up on the internet right now (lots of VC funding) and competition that could drive up bids, you could get some seriouis cash.

Good name! I think you should be able to get $100k. If you cant get that kind of offer right now then hang onto it until you do.
