I am selling ShortMessage.com, together with ShortMessageService.com.
The site has Google PR6 and has been essentially unchanged for years, with only minor evolutions. See the earliest version archived from February 1998 at http://web.archive.org/web/19980204222446/http://www.shortmessage.com/ and compare with the current front page to see what I mean.
I mention this because presumably that makes the PR more "solid" since the domain has never dropped/expired but has been in continuous use.
There are some very important points to understand about this sale. Please read this carefully so that there are no surprises later.
1. I have no idea how much traffic the site gets because I don't host it! I never got around to transferring the site after I bought it last year, just the domain name. I therefore can supply the buyer with the "tarred" version of the site scripts I received last year, but absolutely NO GUARANTEE that it will work. I repeat: NO GUARANTEE THAT THE SCRIPTS WILL DO ANYTHING. I didn't write them, so I can't support them. There is no chance of corresponding with the previous owner or the current hosting service.
2. The content is, in any case, totally out of date, so would require updating pretty much from scratch. Probably best to think of this as a very clean "empty shell" rather than a content site, though there's a nice logo
If you're interested in buying-to-build, that's a pair of enormously solid domains for the SMS industry, with excellent underlying PR. If you're buying-to-park, 99% chance you're wasting your time.
