Sorry to be a bit cocky in the title in order to draw your attention :D but I am really happy with the Google search results for these 6 domain names:

chinatrade.ca
chinatradedirectory.com
chinatradeforum.com
chinatradejournal.com
chinatradereport.com
chinatradereview.com

First off, for those who are new to search engine optimization, it's not a rule that e.g. domainnameforum.com will show up on the top with the search string "domain name forum". Very often, it isn't.

Secondly, all these names were registered in January 2003. In other words, in less than a month, they all top the search.

To be more accurate: 4 of them (-forum, -journal, -report, -review) top the exact keyword strings. chinatrade.ca tops with "china trade canada" while chinatradedirectory.com hits #2.

Moreover, I am NOT using the quotation marks in the search box. Most ordinary folks do not search with quotation marks.

Okay, what do you think they're worth? Thanks.

Edited punctuation mark.

not using the quotation marks means that any page with those three keywords will be provided in the results - using the quotations ensures that only pages with that exact term - ie. the three words together, will be provided in the results

not using the quotations gives misleading results:D

>>fonzerelli_79: not using the quotations gives misleading results

We all know that. But that's how most people search. AND that's when topping Google MORE valuable. ;)

HUH? this is too funny.. chinatrade.ca is nothing more than a redirect/mrror site of chinatrade.com.trying to figure out if you are trying to pull a fast one or really believe that chinatrade.ca is going to stay ranked ..

It is getting it's "rankngs" ONLY because of it's backlinks

http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-menuext&q=link:http://www.chinatradepolis.com/

Of which this is it's most important link..

http://www.chinatradejournal.com/

of which is your best site.. AND most importantly has over 40 inbound links..
http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-menuext&q=link:http://www.chinatradejournal.com/

So slave your site is a Prime example of why googles algo is flawed .. ranking by Linking is flawed and abused ...

chinatrade.ca has NO content .. and in reality shoud be buried deep in the rankings..

you understand this as well as anyone...

BUT as long as Google allows this nonsense .. I wish you the best...

Well considering you are placing their value on their Google rankings..

Not much then because the links are all yours ....as soon as someone buys a name the links are gone as well as the ranking..

Just the names with out the psedo rankings ..maybe a few hundred
but thats because of ChinaTrade.Ca the others are just "vanity" names..cool China industry names sell as a set but they have to be branded ...

Only "China Trade" gets any searches..

Actually NO, mole. Although my parents are Chinese, I actually read and write faster in English. And as mentioned in some other threads, it is VERY DIFFICULT to do business with Chinese if you do not speak their language well. I have been called a "lao wai" (foreigner).

The truth is: I have NOT registered any .com.cn and do not have any plan of registering .cn.

By the way, those China Trade related websites (yes, they are being developed) are targeting an English-speaking audience who are interested in doing business in/with China.

"china trade directory" gets some good searches with Overture. I actually registered chinatradedirectory.com BECAUSE OF THAT!

Anyway, thanks for your appraisal, bidawinner.

Just an update on chinatrade.ca's Google ranking:

It still tops with the search string "china trade canada" after a month. And as a matter of fact, all 6 of my china trade-related domains remain at the positions I bragged about back then. Not bad, eh?
