I'm sure everyone's noticed this by now, but the signatures are showing vB code - not parsing it.

i think the admin/mod intentionally remove this feature. correct me if i'm wrong.

The info next to the sig editing box says:

HTML code is OFF
vB Code is ON
code is OFF
Smilies are ON

Looks like it wasn't intentional. Of course I could be wrong...
