Insofar as Snapnames didn't bother to layout the specifics of their auction process, does anybody know if auction closing times are absolute or extended for X minutes by a last minute high bid?

Answer
An auction lasts a minimum of 72 hours. However, if bidding activity is ongoing after that period of time, the auction will be extended for several minutes following the most recent bid, until all bidding activity is settled.
The last one I was in, seemed to get extended to 15 minutes left if a bid was palced with 5 or less minutes left. A bid was palced with 7 minutes left and the auction was not extended. Then the idiot placed another bid with 4 minutes left and the auction jumped to 15 min left extending it by 11 minutes. I think that's why they say several. It could be anywhere from 10-15
