Going to take this to the phones and get answers.

The just of what I was going to rant about is this industry in general has become about who you know and not what names you own, in terms of getting reserves set, listings and auction time.

There is but one or two major auction platforms left that do a great job and give fair treatment.

When we do not get the domain, there's always a element of doubt.
Yes, every industry do have some favoritism but at individual interest, cannot blame a company for this.

I had a mix experience with SnapNames, but good % they have been able to capture & deliver, so it has been good..
other I was never ok with , but as per Backordering and Bidding is there, worst servuce I have taken ever is of GD...

There is a domain, Development.ws , for which I registered hand-regged, they charged me and then i get message that it has been registered by someone else, abt 1 yr back, But this domain still reflects in my Panel but whois is of different owner, god knows wht mess..

and anyhow , when we talk ONLINE, you are far away from OFFLINE developments ;)

So true, the back door stuff is nothing new but naturally it erks me when it becomes personal.

Many names have seen the back door to major domainers, I mean millionaires who dont need another $50k name but its suddenly theirs, I bet these execs live a pretty lavish life. If you dont think they've fed people premium names for at least 5-10+ yrs youd be fooling yourself. This isnt to say it is impossible to compete, Ive done it successfully for years now but I work hard for each name. I suspect a few cocktails, boat rides and pictures with my arm around someone would have made me more but that'd be the day.

So true and ICANN are equally as corrupt.......

Boycotting those crooks since the last .me auctions when they extended them for their own benefit.
