I recently set up an account at both snap/pool and gave my credit card info.... I know they arent supposed to charge unless you win, but they said that they do a "pre-screening $60" or something like that right when you sign up.... what exactly is that? does it show on the statement? thanks

Its probably just an Authorization, meaning that they just *hold* that amount, its not an actual charge and you should see it back in your account in one or two days. atleast that's the story they always give me

BTW, Authorization's are a complete crock!

the reason for doing so is to check if the credit card is working.
it is something like, charge your card... then cancel the charge.
