Hi

There is so much information and options out there im hoping some of you can help me focus my mind a little by giving me some top line options. I realize that not all will be clear cut but just the key factors would help

You have bought a domain and you want to sell it - What are your options and the pros and cons and in what situation should you do each in? of each E.g. Sell on an Auction, Sell at a domain reseller, Sell direct

You have bought a domain but want to sit on it/develop it - same question E.g. Park it, Get some self updating content? Create an actual website/business?

If you want to increase traffic to your domain prior to selling/developing - same question E.g. Park, Content, Buy some software etc

If you are buying a domain from someone (not a new reg). How do you estimate its value? Do you have a target to sell to in mind? Do you look to sell direct or relist with a new value? How do you justify the higher price?

Thanks in advance

it depends on the domain. one of the benefits of owning a diversified portfolio is the ability to develop new businesses from your list. parked today, developed tomorrow..

parked names will not help generate additional traffic above type-ins usually. search engines know your page is not unique content/or that it is parked & they will not list your parked name usually. once you develop the name, you can get it listed pretty fast though.

the value of a domain is always what you can sell it for or what somebody will pay for it. that being said- we have reseller prices and retail for each domain in our list.

dnjournal reports weekly sales, also you can see sold's being posted in the threads here to help you gauge liquidity of a domain category.

develop it & keep adding links, links & more links.

Next would be to upgrade your membership here and find out ;)
