Hi,

There are not many .nets that work better than .com, but I can think of a few.

fish.net v's fish.com etc.

Anyway I have soccerportal.net which works well as nets are obviously used in the game of soccer.

The site is a soccer shopping site, its new so no revenue as yet, and little traffic.

Interested in appraisals, based on name and developed site.

The word "soccer" is a very US based name, with potential larger volumes of traffic in Europe refering to the sport as Football rather than Soccer, so as a US only site it kind of limits the potential growth of the name.

Fair points, but USA is a massive country and they are starting to catch up with the rest of the world on the soccer (football) front, I understand womens soccer is especially big in the USA.

It is strange that a sports name changes between continents though, boxing is always boxing....

Any comments on value? I think we agree this is probably a value aimed at the USA market, be interested to hear from the other side of the pond.

Actually soccer, as opposed to "rugger", originated in England.
