I don't want to appear to be a spoilsport, but can anyone tell me what the hell is the point of marriage these days?
You don't need to waste thousands on some material ceremony just to tell someone you love them.
Also, since 75% of marriages break up in the first year, and 50% of people have already been unfaithful before the marriage, it seems such a waste of time and money!
Call me cynical, but so many people think marriage is some kind of magical thing that will change things overnight altogether - like everything that was wrong beforehand will become right.
That is so deluded! Marriage changes nothing but the woman's surname :-| (!) and the contents of your bank accounts lol!
