closed Special Symbol domain names ©.com & ®.com

I came across ©.com and ®.com at http://ml.register.com and was shocked that I could purchase them. I did some research and came across this info http://www.dnso.org/clubpublic/ga-udrp/Arc00/msg00088.html. I also saw on ebay that saw one actually sold one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3102263051&category=11153.

And yes I did buy them

Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Did you search at ml.register.com?

I tried at powerpipe.com but the fact of the matter is people (in general) can not instantly input those symbols on there computer. That is the problem.

Register.com is a test bed for these domain, one of the main issues is that they may never go live.

Now I can see the page parked at Register.com "Coming Soon".
You've no access to modify multilingual domains through Register.com at the moment (I've few names of this kind) but they work in my browser.

Multilinguals are going live and support for them will be normalized in IE (the present version of windows or Longhorn).
@.com and ®.com are worth mega$$$ potentially(!), remember that they still use a disclaimer for these names, they can be deleted without notice and the policy can change just like that, you are rich or screwed, but that's live I guess.

However tempting it is to buy a shitload of them, there is still the risk of losing your names and thus your money, I would buy a couple of names from the top of your list, a lot of names are still unregged, so you should be able to fetch very reasonable names.

Especially aim for spanish, german and asian names, the letter ñ is very usefull for that and play with present top-names, microsoft.com -->
