Anyone shed any light on the time it takles to get your own Gmail invites?

Ive had an account for nearly 1 month now and nothing as yet

thanks
mike

Gmail does not offer invites anymore I believe

typicle, im always late for the boat hahaha

are u saying you have a gmail account and are asking when you will be able to invite others yourself or that you dont have one and need one????

For the first part, I can fill you in with some tricks.

im interested in the tricks ;)

i do have an account. Just waiting for when i can invite others

ok, the invites on your account (show up in red) only come after there is some activity in your account.

I think I tipped you generously in the right direction :-)

P.S.
there are zillions of ways to create 'activity' such as incoming email to your account, just think :-)
then the invites come and come...

Hmm ... maybe and maybe not. I have accounts that had never been used (no inbound or outbound mail, nothing) but got their own invitations; then I have accounts which are used (send and receive) on a regular basis, but yet have not got their own invitations for ... about a month now. According to gmailswap.com, you can never tell:

The logic dictating who receives these offers is unknown to us - it probably has something to do with pigeons, random luck, manfruit, and the elder gods.

yeah. i have 1 account that i keep on using....no invites. And 1 account with zero activity...got 1 invite.

no matter how much you use your accounts OR no matter how inactive your accounts are, Google stopped giving out invitations.

There are no more tricks!!!

so, how come every single one of my accounts has an invite link??????
did God decide to favor me? :-)

just make sure you get a few emails a day (the more the better). that seems to have done the trick.
In fact, from just 1 account, i have already sent out about 4 invites within the last 7 days.

Probably your trick works, at least for you... but it just seems for us we didnt got any more invite even if we uses... :-(

I only got 3 the whole time I had my gmail account so don't feel that bad.

Send a couple of .exe files over to your account. Send also huge file attachments to your account. Don't forget to subscribe to a mailing list which requests for a verification... anything to make Gmail feel technically challenged.

yes, the susbribing to a maling list works like a charm! :-)

in fact, have each post that is in a thread here, send an email notice of the new post to your gmail account, and alternate between accounts. results = invites.

I got mine about 2 weeks in. They gave me 6

I got 3 accounts about 7-10 days ago and I just checked them, they are little used (about 6 emails, 1 with a 2Mb attachment), each one has 10 invites - 30 in total available!

then maybe it is a random thing?
all my accounts have them, maybe it is like someone said just pure luck???

I got 11 invites on my active email id. It is interesting to note that google is not offering any more invites. I have used up all my invites on both active and inactive email ids and havent received any more.
