Mole, just to set the record straight, I have never seen more hateful words come from a poster....ever.....and on a continuous basis. I have seen some of the DISGUSTING things you have said over the years. Your KKK remarks, your Nazi references and I can go on.

I am so happy you won't be asking for an invitation. You are EXACTLY the type person we DO want to EXCLUDE and for very good reason.
+++++++++++++++++++++++

So, there you have it folks.

I have posted on DNF a few times that bygones should be bygones, but there is no reply to it from Rick and Howard.

I have criticized the GRUDGE LIST and so did others. So, what happened? Was there any major reversal in policy? None. Not even a retreat of 1 inch. They just got sneakier about it, and replaced it with an "invitation only" system that has the same effect of discouraging people who were previously told they were not wanted.

Hey, as producers of a private event, it's their right to restrict the event, or even to post that they have a GRUDGE LIST, as they did. It's even their right to take down the public notice of a GRUDGE LIST, and perhaps hide it in private --which is what Rick did by telling Mole he was not welcome.

It is unstated, but very clear that the people who were originally excluded need not apply.

It's also my right to criticize this.

The bottom line? Rick and Howard are just digging in deeper. The GRUDGE LIST is now private instead of public, and Rick has joined DNF in a PR attempt.

So.. nothing has changed.

They just put some whip cream on the same hard old road apple.

:(

That’s your opinion of what is meant here, and to that you are entitled, however, After reading the hateful, negative posts that have been seen in this and the other T.R.A.F.F.I.C Thread by the few people who have a GRUDGE against Rick & Howard. I can fully appreciate why they would want it to be invitation only and screen for such negativity.

I was there in 2004 and it was GREAT, Not one negative thing was said about anybody there, or not there. It was just a VERY productive, professional conference that everyone there came away better for having gone.

Rick came to "set the record straight" and I hope that the people here, can see from this and the other threads that it isn't Rick with the Grudge it is the "Nay Sayers" that keep bashing a conference that they no NOTHING about. Otherwise there will be a lot of good domainers/business people that will miss out on a GREAT opportunity to meet Intelligent, Positive People that only want to help each other make the "Domain Trade" better and more reputable as a WHOLE.

I think this is the most important point and one that a lot of people seem to overlook. This is a private enterprise. They put up the money to produce the event so they can run it any way they want. The event will succeed or fail based on the decisions they make. That's the American Way. Anyone is free to compete with them and put on their own show and open it to everyone if they wish. However, when no one else has been able to produce a show that people would actually go to, it seems like a waste of time and energy to criticize other businessmen for their approach, especially when it has already proven successful for them - and more importantly been deemed a good value by every customer who bought their product.

ok, after reading the thread again I have decided to end this thread with a warning to those that don't like Rick or the traffic2005 idea.

here it is...

I will intsruct them to stay out of the new traffic 2005 thread that will be started, if you have nothing nice to say, it is best to keep quite.

That said, I have instructed the mods to temp ban anyone that craps in the new thread.

I feel that if you have a grudge with Rick or anyone you can deal with it outside this forum.

Dnforum will support the next Traffic show, deal with it.
