Can someone explain the rational behind what names are choosen for the live auction vs the online extended auction??

I am assuming this has something to do with pricing of the domains otherwise I just don't get it.

Could it be for the main auction that it is a first received - first auctioned policy, then the "extended" auction are all of the others who fot accepted but wern't in the first batch of accepted domains?

congrats and good luck to everyone!! This was my first auction submission and i'm absolutely in wooooohooooo! mode . have 5 domains accepted to the online auction. In hindsight I'm now thinking I wish'd i'd set the reserves a tad more competitively, but oh well, we'll see what happens!

Money probably had a waaaay too high reserve for the auction committee to accept it in the live auction and most likely the seller refused to lower it accordingly. So they put it in the silent/online auction instead, as it is too good to be refused.

They do have a verification system. I think TheLegendaryJP indicated that he just sold doug.com a couple months back and the new owner submitted it for auction.

This is correct, it is the new owner who is auctioning the name.

Same here the sad part is that this is a day trip for me and I'm still not going (not enough money and I doubt my domains are good enough).
