TDNAM - expirying domains, do age stay?

If a domain was regged 4 years expired last month and is in in the expiry section on tdnam and i buy it for like $10 does the age stick?

From my understanding the reg date does NOT reset.

I just checked a domain picked up on TDNAM and the registration date was not reset.

I think most of the domains on TDNAM never expired, GoDaddy just "kept" ones that their customers let expire.
