Apart from the models getting better, the input token windows are getting larger too. If the guidance of the application process fits completely in the token window, you will have crazy good results (I assume that was what you experienced). If it doesn't fit, it has to rely on a RAG, which is also really good, but it tends to 'miss some parts'.

If application guidelines would have an agentic format (e.g. md) it would be even better in the future. Which is probably where we are heading.
