The State of the Domain Industry

Groups loosely or claiming to be affiliated with Al Qaeda have burned, bombed, destroyed anything that is western, particularly music, in parts of Iraq and Pakistan.

Other groups like Hamas and, again, groups claiming to have Al-qaeda connections have done the same thing in Gaza and Palestinian neighborhoods.

Extremists are extremists by any name.
I guess you missed my point. I could understand anti-Western sentiment, but the Taliban ban ALL KINDS OF MUSIC. That's what I'm pissed. It's human nature to sing, and dance, and celebrate. Those nuts don't even deserve to be called human.

177 Million Domain Names And Counting

Wow, that's a lot.

Interesting read, thanks Vision.

I especially found this information interesting:
"The composition of the domain name industry and rank order in terms of base size remained consistent in the fourth quarter.
The largest TLDs in terms of base size were .com, .cn, .de, .net, .org, .uk, .info, .nl (The Netherlands), .eu (European Union), and .biz"

Nice to find an hierarchical list of the most used TLDs.
I didn't think that .biz would have more registrations than .us or have I somehow misinterpreted the information?

.biz 2.0m
.us 1.5m
approx

.us has nexus requirements

great reading very interesting 177million makes you wonder what this year will bring to up that total
