Someone is seriously ****in' around. Originally THERMOS.NET dropped today, then SN changed the expiration date to be SEPT 19th and kept it at that date until today. Registry was even updated. So how did it drop today ?

Playing tricks or what ?

Only good news is the bidders pool is alot smaller than it was for along.com

Think this will hit xx,xxx too ? See you all in the auction.

Dont see why it would go for that much.
"© 2003 Thermos L.L.C. Thermos is a registered trademark in over 115 countries."

I guess you might hang onto it for a few months but HIGHLY unlikely it will earn anywhere near $xx,xxx before you lose it in a UDRP.

Was formerly owned by a large player who routinely scrubs/deletes for accidental TM pickups. They probably bought it accidentally, then placed a delete request, hence it looks like something weird is going on.

Bid stands at 250 @ SN - I guess we'll find out.

Maybe xx,xxx is a bit of stretch considering the TM issues... mid x,xxx isn't though, I think the turnaround for it would be rather quick considering the name, for whomever wins the auction.

By turnaround do you mean to someone willing to take the very large risk that it won't be udrped or worse that they wont be sued?
When is the auction over? In an hour?

isn't it enough of a part of speech that perhaps the trademark wouldn't work? Even still though, what are you going to do - build a site selling thermos'?

i don't love the name, even without the tm issues.

the origins of the word are greek too :) so whoever snaps this has to give it back to me/acroplex or dvd-rip before we send out C&Ds for you!!!

I actually had no idea there was a TM. I thought it was a dictionary term.

I was set to win it for 250.00 but lost track of the auction at the last minute... someone else got it.
