Oh please tell me something good. What I like about all of you guys here on DNF is that you are realistic in your appraisals giving the whole game a new and more a professional look. Story is I registered a domain nearly a year ago.Never thought of developing it as I'm busy with another one.I knew It worth something, but how much depended on the buyer. Now, I find it has 1679 type ins on overture. This is not a huge figure, I know but you feel the thrill just because you already own it.At least one of the 20 domains I registered when I started this trade may now have a future. So tell me how much do you think its worth.
The domain is ArabianBay.com. You are welcome to appraise from 0-x figures.

arabianbay.com has 0 type ins on overture.

the term "arabian bay" is searched for 1679 time on overture

HUGE difference.

Anyhow, i cannot think of a price for this but may be worth something to a company located in the vicinity of the area.

You are 100% right, but first overture has nothing to do with type ins in the address bar, and since there is no such thing as arabianbay.com website, why should they search for it on se, they will only enter the phrase itself.I never type dot coms on search engines, only the phrase.Overture only reflect the popularity of the phrase itself.Example, you know how much would arabianbay be worth if 1679 showed for arabianbay.com?.Lets just say that Afternic.com recieves only 672.
I hope I explained things better. And ofcourse thank you for your POV.

yes. i'm just explaining to you that when people speak of typeins on overture they are referring to the domain name being typed in.

for example

2212 birthday.com
3578 freemusic.com
931 anyone.com

the reason afternic.com has so few key ins on overture is because it is a domain owner related domain and webmasters would be less likely to type it into a search engine and the average web user would not be looking for it.

you'd be surprised how many domains have keyins on overture that you wouldn't expect.

Cool name. Worth $200

BINGO!

An example where Overture stats would be on the low side.

Give this man a star. He understands.

That's rare.

I've got a bit confused here. I thought a type in domain was one where the user typed the url straight into the address bar. So arabianbay could be good for horse lovers for example. The only way you can measure this is by putting a counter on the home page and looking at the referring url. If you are looking at the name for search engine optimisation then I understand that file names, alt comments and text in the pages may be more important than the name. (and of course link popularity).
